This modular housing concept, as developed by PIKE Projects, targets the very popular 2-bedroom condominium model and applies it in such a way that the same essential components/modules can be scaled down to as small as a 4-unit urban
in-fill site as well as up to larger blocks consisting of 24, 32, 48, 64 units or more.
As opposed to a typical housing block that consists of a long, double loaded central corridor leading to units that only have a single wall with potential for glazing, this concept offers 2 entire walls, on opposite sides of the building, that may be glazed. This ensures that every unit has a variety of views, sunlight throughout the day as well as effective cross ventilation and more opportunities for balconies.
